Koffietafelmuziek is a made up word that popped up in a random conversation between Frank (Fyarl) and one of his friends. It literally translates as Coffeetablemusic. In his homeland The Netherlands, a coffee table is often linked to funerals. The coffee table being the place where people talk, after such a sad event. Despite the very bleak and dark imagery of the music, there is no connection to those funerals, nor was it ever in the artist’s intention to do so. Forget about the funerals, please!
